ROCHESTER CASTLE, KENT
This project provided an excellent opportunity to demonstrate John's skills in historical reconstruction illustration. With over 10 panels showing daily life in the castle, battles and much more, it certainly kept him busy for a while.
All the illustrations have a hidden rat in them so if you go there, look out for them.
The castle had no interpretation when we arrived and provided us with a blank canvas but we had the pleasure of working with 'Ed', an enthusiastic and knowledgeable client who helped greatly move the project on with ideas and suggested themes.
All the artwork and design was produced in-house and we managed the print and production. Installation was carried out by the ARC team and, among other things, we learned that you don't want to forget your spanner when you go up to the top of the tower!
